Pitting Edema (oedema) - tested by placing one finger (or thumb) in one spot for one minute!
There are many causes of bilateral pitting edema ... Most common will be CCF, but also renal or liver failure (anything causing hypoalbuminaemia).
Beware if it is unilateral edema however ! ;-)
