Watch the movie, it's pretty cool and yes, it is all real. You won't be sorry.

Special thank you to Snap and my family for helping me make this video and thank you to all my friends for being there with me during this journey. Also, I've never met or talked to anyone at Harmonix but thank you guys for making the game, it helped me more than anyone will know.

I went from 560lbs at age 20 to now 215lbs at age 23. That is a loss of 345lbs of body fat. Although it would seem that was spread out over 3 years in actuality the the bulk of my weight loss--330lbs, was lost in just around 16 months after starting. I stopped at 230lbs for nearly a year and only recently have I started to cut more weight.

The pictures in this video are not flattering in the least bit, I understand that. I'm not worried about how I look or looked back then. This video isn't to say "hey look at me, I am special" no, I want people to see what can be done with their body and inspire people. I want people to see what they can do. I know when I was big I had never heard of someone losing the amount of weight I was going for without surgery or some other kind of aid so even I was unsure if it was possible. Now that people can see what can be done it opens their mind to the possibility. I lost the weight with exercise, a daily calorie deficit and time. Dedication and patience are key. I changed my mindset and inevitably my entire life in one night. I was set on becoming healthy.

My goals changed along the way. At first I just wanted to see a weight on my scale which maxed out at 440lbs. I DREAMED of weighing 440lbs, that's how big I was. After that my goal was to see 399. After that 350 and then 310. My goals evolved with me. I kept them realistic and I was incredibly happy to reach any of them.

I never dreamed of weighing under 300 pounds let alone under 250lbs. Those thoughts left my mind a long time ago. I lost hope and gave up, I ate and I sat around. I told myself I would rather be fat and happy then to be skinny and go through the exercise pain and eating miserably.

I got in a car accident April 1st, 2008. The accident made me think of my own mortality in a very serious way. It made me think of all the thinks I would miss out on in my life if I continued on my path. I would never even get the simple pleasure of waking next to someone I loved. I wouldn't get to climb a tree. I would never get to see nature in all it's beauty, go on a roller coaster and scream my head off or even enjoy seeing myself in a mirror. This movie shows what happens when I decided to make a change and stopped giving up.

I had the worst habits on earth, broke them.
I had "bad genes", I turned them around.
I had a slow metabolism, worked through it.
I was lazier than 90% of the population but I pushed myself. I didn't anticipate pushing myself this far and finding, what feels like, an entirely new world.

  • Geez, I feel like I'm reading my own story, except I didn't start going over a healthy weight range until my teens, and didn't hit 560 until I was an OTR truck driver, and, much like you, stopped on an industrial scale on day, at a paper plant I was delivering at, and found I was... believe it or not, 560.

  • Thanks for video, I got inspired by videos like this, check out what experts on fox says about this over weight problem /watch?v=9QpzdK7wdYY Let's fight our problems together, thumbs up that other peoples could see this comment! :Let's don't waste our time, we need to fight back our weight!

  • WHOA! That is amazing. I am inspired *not only* because you lost an incredible amount o weight, but also because you made a choice about how you wanted to live and you actually did it. I think we focus so much on what we look like that our weight loss goals are really about aesthetics and looking better--but the best thing we can do is to make a choice to live better, eat better, and feel better. This is an amazing video that shows that it is possible to do it if you want it.

  • This is awsome man....if you can doo 350 i can do 100 aswel

  • You should be a member of Fitocracy!

  • When I saw that picture at (what I assume) was the bowling alley, my jaw droped. I am currently at 275, down from 290 and I was starting to lose motivation, this has got me back up for todays insanity. thank you so much and well done on the weight loss!
