Hey, I'm just impressed high school kids knew about this album. Hail Satan.

Great video. I got this CD cold, blind buy; had read a review of it that was just too intriguing. The Hill is some kind of madman's masterpiece, beautiful music and melodies that will get to you. Not unlike Pink Floyd "The Wall" gone alt-country or something, just. . .awesome.

Great job on this video. It's great to see members of the younger generations really getting into Buckner's work. I mean, great folk/alt country + great classic american literature...why wouldn't they love it, right?

Wow... someone made a video for my favourite Richard Buckner work, "The Hill". I applaud the effort, even though I have never imagined the songs in a modern light...
I don't know if it was intentional, but from the video it kind of seemed like Mrs. Merritt was being raped by Karr, which wasn't what I understood from the poems. Still, great tunes.

What made you think she was being raped? Mrs. Merrit is on top of Karr when they're making out and she trys to stop Mr. Merrit from shooting him.

I didn't actually want to do a modern version but I didn't have time to find costumes or make any since it was a school assignment. I would have preferred to do the video as a period piece, but I just didn't have the means.
