I thought of this song immediately as soon as he won that night. Fantastic that someone made this video.

This is why the birthers hate us. Stand together, world. Join as one. They'll either accept the new world or swirl away as the forgotten dust of history. Tasty job of editing, J. Fife. Beautiful fucking job. I'm in tears.

qnfoster...I so agree...we need to remember why...its going to be a tough road for us all, together as a nation...but at least we can have some real trust (even when we don't necessarily agree) that the person "behind the wheel" has our best interest in mind...great song and video presentation...thx to the producer!!! And thanx to my fellow countrymen and women!!!
It's been a while since I've looked at this video, and as I do, another great memory of that night came flooding back. I had just finished up a project at the U of I in Champaign, IL, and was packing up my van to head back to Milwaukee, when the victory projection came on CNN...the roar from all over campus was incredible! The footage of students cheering and running near the beginning of this video reminds me so much of that night...thanks again for a great tribute to a NEW ERA for America!

@phantom81074 Thanks for watching. Hopefully you were as passionate about Bush's poor performance while he was in office.

One of my favorite videos here on YouTube...not to sound totally cheesy, but whenever I'm having a "down" day and it feels like I'm aiming for the impossible, I watch this and am inspired. I will never forget that night, as I was traveling for work. I stopped for gas just south of Chicago, and a young black man of 19 was at the pump next to me, tears in his eyes. It had been his first time voting for Pres., and he was so ecstatic that Obama had won & that his own g'ma was alive to see it!

I must say that the evening was so emotional that I cried as well. Glad to hear that this inspires you.
