Hmm, most people don't get it. It is not intended as a diss. Part of what makes it funny is the actor's appearance- Freddy was good looking, successful, and brilliant-this guy looks like geek: see his posture and hear his nerdy mild persistence? That doesn't remind us of FM at all; that is part of what is so funny. So the funniness comes from how nerdy he looks and acts and also from the reaction of the lady. I understand how people could be confused; the humor is very subtle.
