Even more tourism jobs than this could be threatened, in 2009 BC generated 13 billion from tourism and 129, 000 jobs were created by tourism. Supertankers along the coast are not good for tourism. It is reckless to put a raw bitumen which contains carcinogens inc.benzene pipeline across earthquake/avalanche very disposed BC. A spill will happen one small tremor opps a leak in people isolated Northern BC, causing havoc on the environment, wildlife, fisheries ect.& costing 1000's of tourism jobs.

I completely agree with you. The Northern Pipeline is not good for BC because it's way too risky. Remember the Peace River? How it got that major oil spill in the late 90s? My brother was one of the many workers who worked their butts off trying to clean that oil spill and it took what seemed to be months to clean it up. Do we want that to happen again? I don't think so. It's too costly, too risky in every way.
