Just ran into this problem myself. Can you confirm that with that extra little bit of material left at the bottom that there is still an actual connection with the dock when it's plugged in?

3 flaws. 1: Can't use it with the Keyboard dock/ Normal dock. Except if you modify it.
2: collects dust
3: It slips a lil bit so I can't access the media keys easily so I have to push it real hard then it slips of again after you use the stand.

By simply cutting a bit further up than for the dock, this also works fantastic for use with the Apple Keyboard Dock. I like this case so much more than many of the others, but I thought that I was going to be stuck if I wanted to use the keyboard dock.
Thanks John!

@brucoder - yep, sooner or later they will build it into a case.

Looks like it works fine, but a quick question - did you put any sort of cellophane or cellotape etc on the exposed part of the iPad? Seems that this modification might make it slightly more prone to scuffing when putting the iPad into the dock, or just in general.
I've got a couple of iPhone screen protectors lying around, maybe I could cut one those to fit.
