That was a nice idea to highlight the trumpet players during the exchanges, but I think it was just Diz and Fats without Miles.

Love this song was called Overtime because Charlie Parker was flubbing on purpose.Which meant everyone on the session made extra money! Exactly what Bird meant too do.Sounds like a Lennie Tristano tune Every one played well on the session but special mention goes out too Bird Lennie,Billy ,Buddy,and one of the greatest trumpet sections ever assembled.In both Dizzy's and Miles Autobiography they both speak about this session.Fat's and Miles follow Dizzy's lead and pay homage too the master.

Something in jazz was really lost when this kind of all-star thing disappeared. The Metronome all stars, JATP, and lots of other great stuff from this era. Magical time in jazz

トランペットのソロ・オーダー、これが不思議なもので、
私にはマイルスがわかり易く、逆にガレスピーとナバロが混乱してしまいます。
いずれにせよ、このメンバーで白熱してくると巷間いわれるほどの個性差がなくなりつつあるのが面白いところだと思います。
