Do you not use the monofin because of its thick-to-flat ratio, & how that appears in the tails? I've always wanted a monofin, but now you have me wondering. Does this (or the newer model you mentioned now using) assist in swimming as well? Or was it simply implemented for appearance's sake..? With the lovely craftsmanship you use in your silicone sculpting, couldn't the somewhat awkward full-to-flat ratio of the monofin if used in tails be remedied by graduating silicone thicknesses..? Thanks!

It was a dismal failure. I have since improved the design. Silicone is the way to go. The plastic didn't flex and and the silicone does. I had a great idea but then I found a way to make it work better. These things are all experiments until you find a better way to do it. Looked great on paper though...

It looks like the fin is weighing him down what if you drowned!

This was a prototype that is not being used anymore. A typical monofin doesn't take in water and you can tell when someone is wearing one... My designs are more image driven as an Effect like you see in movies.

Oh Ok So you can't drown with a monofin! ?

You can drown simply by being arrogant about swimming safety...
Nothing will keep you from drowning if you can't swim!
