If you set the C stick to be attack, then you can do this techniques.

Central Movement-
You tilt the c stick diagonally in the air, so you do your n air without sacrificing some of your horizontal movement. Can only be done with T-Sticking.

Instant Dash Attack-
By tilting the c stick in any direction right after you dash, you can do your dash attack a little earlier. It can be done with the default setup as well, but you have to tilt the c stick down and that's sort of awkward.

An Instant Dash Attack combined with Dash Canceling can be very useful for Wario and Snake.

Characters with a Dash Attack Cancel that gives them a big boost compared to their running speed in no particular order:
Wario-Not the best to KO, because you need to be precise and stop at your opponents position to not have them escape from the final blow. One of my favorite characters though. My nickname for this is the Corkscrew Dash.
Link-Needs good enough timing to have it go a long distance. Otherwise, just doing Up Smash while running doesn't make much of a difference.
Shiek-With great distance and easy to hit with up smash, this can be good for pursuing others.
Wolf-Up Smash isn't not as powerful as a lot of other characters with good DCAs, so it's better for racking up damage and Sudden Death if your opponent isn't very light.
Falco-Up Smash with good power and distance gained with DCA, this can be a good KO move.
Jigglypuff-Helps her ground game, because she runs the slowest and it gives her a good boost.
Snake-Good for getting around the stage fast, the missle drops behind Snake to make him harder to chase, and good for edgeguarding as well if you aren't close enough to the ledge. Nicknamed Snake Dashing.

Sonic and Fox both have Dash Attack Cancels that go further than usual, but just doing an Up Smash while running doesn't make much of a difference from doing a DCA. Sonic can charge up his Up Smash and go a good distance with this method though.

  • to B(stick) or to T(stick), that is the question.

  • You can also use your Dair with the C-stick set to Attack without fast falling. Like in Melee!

  • this seems like it would be very very useful in conjunction with dash canceling in brawl plus.

  • Eh, some might find this useful, but I'd much rather have my c-stick for smashes. Tilts are easy to do normally and the moving nair/quick dash attack things are pretty lame.

  • ya it's a VS ackshun gaem m i rite XDXDXD KAWAIIIII I R SO FUNNAY VS ACTION IS A RL GENRE IN JAPAN :D :D :D

This fad was never funny. Ever.

  • thats nice i didnt know that

  • meh, you can wavebounce with defaults, and l2tilt. the nair bit is the only advantage but its usefulness is highly limited since you don't gain very much mobility.

trading lightning fast bufferable smashes with 0 initial dash frames (frames that you can trip during) for a little bit of mobility during a nair is not worth it.

  • I actually considered using the C-stick for tilts, because then I can do tilts a lot faster without accidentally smashing.

Just have to get used to not using the C-stick for Dsmash :P
