The "They want to privatize our school system" argument is such a strawman. Conservatives/Libertarians want to fund Charter schools to give students a choice. With profit motive, no parent would want to pay for a school that leaves half the students half- illiterate like California public schools do.

In public schools no one is held accountable for their failures, they've inflated the grade system so bad people actually think they're worth more funding.

The young lady commenting on educations cuts is clueless and so far from reality. The guy is trying to say privatization is about making money. Really? HALF of the ENTIRE CA STATE Budget goes to Education!! Where does it go you might ask... into the Salaries, Generous and Guaranteed benefits, Retirement Pensions which often pay more than the last year of salary and also to pay for the extended healthcare benefits of all the family members of the teacher for LIFE!

rMoney would love to return to the days when teachers were paid in baskets of eggs and a couple of chickens. Yep....what a prestigious job! But you've gotta have a college degree and keep paying for & taking more college credits EVERY 5 YEARS to keep that teaching certificate.
