You should stop calling yourself belonging to specific religion. In fact religion is something we made up. I appreciate the fact that you have taken a linking to the Mother. To learn more just read vedic books and puranams. They never talk about religion. Try Devi Mahatmyam first. A true sense of Mother can be realized by merely seeking her on your own without any mantras. Overtime you will become a gentle person and you will fear nothing. Without Mother's willing you will not seek her.
