In the line of what you are speaking, as a web developer, I personally do not like to be tied to any particular source code due to it being; **In the box** per se. As one would have to wait for someone to develop code to snap in when needed. I would much rather start with fresh code so I have a complete intimate understanding of what is written. Also, if websites are not updated with the latest security fixes, it is bad news for everyone. Interesting topic.
