Unpacking the new macbook pro, January 2009.

The Package contained:
Macbook pro 2.4GHZ, 2GB DDR 1066MHZ, 250GB HDD, 2X nVidia 9400M
Last Generation Maglock charger.
Cleaning Cloth

It took a little bit getting used to the black keyboard and boarder on the screen but its definitely growing on me faster and faster, My partner and I have decided that we prefer the previous key layout but the backlight on the new keyboard is better, more visible at different angles.

For those who own one of last years macbook pros, the biggest issue with them was heat, being unusable on a lap, even through Jeans when using any moderately intensive application.
The new macbook solves this issue, with very little heat noticeably being put out during basic application and a comfortable amount being put out during Aperture work and Gaming COD4.

My next videos, Ill make some comparison videos between application running on last years and the new macbook pro.

Sorry about the title issue, was bought in Australia in 2009 is what I was referring to.

  • my old macs pro has so many screws, including the "screw" that apple gave me. Yes, apple has screwed me, again. And probably again pretty soon right after i buy their new products. 10 years from now, we will each owns about 10 products from apple. Most of them will be useless because of the newer ones. I will save money to buy their latest innovation 20 years from now. It might cost me 20,000 but at least i know i will have a peace of mind. maybe.

  • Hey metal since the specs are 2.4 ghz 2gb 250gb hard drive I'm assuming no it's not the 17", I could be wrong though

  • is this 17"?

  • yes, it does heat up, especially near the screen... however, cant really say if same as old one (maybe less... but after some time of work on it, heat is felt)

there is mistake in info -- there is no 2x 9400, but 9400 M and 9600 GT (however not working in SLi)
