www.barfworld.com. Rob talks about the benefits of feeding raw meat (a BARF diet) to your dog. The benefits of eliminating steroids, antibiotics and other intrusive remedies.
I have been feeding a raw meat diet to my dogs & cats for 7 yrs. Imagine dogs, cats, and ferrets eating the diet that they evolved to eat.. The pet food industry has convinced so many that even one sliver of real meat, and your carnivorous cat or dog will fall over dead. Although people can thrive on a vegan diet, grain is the enemy of health in humans, as well as our pets.
@wasssuppp08 I'm actually a vegetarian myself. And as much as I like the idea of including my canine friends in my hippy world take-over, it wouldn't be fair to him. Anything is possible I say, I'm sure if forced, a dog would eat anything - as would any animal on the planet. Again, would the animal be healthy? I wouldn't 'chance' it on my dog because of my own ego. I usually get some fresh meat, eggs, and a small amount of veggies - put it in a food processor. Presto! Healthy dog food.
@wasssuppp08 You cannot 'force' evolution, as in you can't 'force' your dog to eat plants and veggies and expect him/her to fully adapt. Its something that takes thousands upon thousands of years:(. When evolution is 'forced', very unexpected and usually bad things happen. However theres nothing wrong about including fresh fruits and veggies in your dogs food. My dog loves apples. And peanut butter. But he can only eat so much of that, without getting bored. This is a physical response.
@wasssuppp08 Well, canine physiology hasn't as rapidly evolved as humans. Humans can basically extract energy from any food source, where as canines can really only extract protein from meat, fat from meat and a small amount of carbohydrates/sugars from plants/grains. It is the reason they have pointed teeth, where as humans have mostly flat teeth. If dogs were to adapt, hypothetically, you'd see them live longer, have flat teeth, strange occurences. Unfortunately they have not adapted to that.
If you have seen such remarkable results on the other two dogs why would you decide to feed the new pup differently. It is the most appropriate diet to feed your dog.
Well, I have a street dog and a german shepard, the german shepar is 14 years old and he has problems in the hip, 2 years ago he couldnt walk, we thought we were going to have to put him to sleep, but we change to the barf diet, well, my german shepard can walk and even run and play, its amazing this diet, and the street dog she is healthy as hell, Its really amazins, but I found a new puppy in the street and I adopt him, but i dont know what to feed him, can you help?
Yea I have 2 dogs; a Boxer and a Staffordshire Bull Terrier. I've been feeding them BARF for about 2 years now. I'd be willing to give you any tips/advice to get started if you like, but you should give me either your email or facebook (if your willing, that is) so I don't have to do it on here.
