Yes indeed, I did thank you GLF, the best years of my life. I worked in the Casino inboard, so we were never open in Port, which meant lots of time off for sightseeing. There is a page on Facebook, QE2 and Cunarders, where the old crew post pics and keep in touch. You are welcome to join and have a look around if you wish. 19 years of no bills or taxes or worries. How times have changed since then.

Thanks John. I'll have a liitle look at the "Facebook" pages. Just think you had those 19 years without bills, taxes or worries - I did not!. Times certainly have changed, and not, for the most part, for the better. Keep on smiling my friend.

She is a British ship, but her home Port - and there can be no argument about this, as the name is proudly emblazoned on her stern - is "Southampton". That is where she should be for everyone to enjoy.
