And this is my favourite bass solo of all time, my aspiration as a bassist is to someday be able to play this song in full.

you said it...the opening kicks the socks off of a lot what people thick a bass solo is all about....it's rediculous how amazing Juan Alderte is...like the live from the electric ballroom dvd...if you havent seen it, skip to Cerpin Taxt...the bass improv he does in the middle is so crazy....

Empty battery dude? Is that what happened on Agadez? You should always bring extra batts :) But I don't blame you, how long was this concert? I've heard they sometimes play for 3 hours! Regardless, fantastic recording, good equipment, never hear any mic distortions due to bass. Thank YOU! Cedric sounds amazing this venue, he's hit or miss sometimes based on what I've seen.
