Scott Ewart shows you the Asus Ai Guru Video phone in action and how easy it is to connect up and start using it as a longterm landline phone replacement.
Specifications:
7" Display (800 x 480)
Wireless 802.11 b/g & Ethernet 10/100Mb
Camera resolution: 640 x 480 (0.3 megapixels)
Mains powered or Lithium Ion Battery (30 minutes standby life)
UPDATE: We've been using this without problem. As Mom gets worse this is more and more a God-send; it auto answers and all she has to do is talk to me. Dad uses Skype on his workstation, and he even sees the benefir for Mom. I do notice that it runs warm for being in a stand-by mode for most of it's "life".

@trabajador98 As cool as these are, they've never caught-on, so pricing seems to wane; keep a regular search on Amazon & Ebay and I'm sure you'll find one around $150. BTW: No matter the geek, they have a parent or grandparent who won't touch a computer, and THIS is for them. I introduced this to my folks as the "Dick Tracy" video phone they always wanted in their youth. I also set it up to auto-answer (approved persons only), so they (literally) have to do NOTHING to use it.
