  • Fear is correct. Fear of offense. Fear of saying n----r which I feel afraid to say! and which is stupid because what word of the English language deserves the power to be so revered?! None, I say. It has become such an incredibly socially constructed reality based on FEAR. And the white people are either weak with apology or from an old and alive world of stereotype that they use to try to understand others.

  • @chyorneycat

appropriate fear for some.. term of endearment for others.. like a wheelchair bound kid calling another crippled.. its allowed amongst peers that share the experience.. but if someone otherwise abled used the term it would be offensive.. isnt the fear of using the crippled term just being respectful of their position?

  • Nick acts like he was raised by negligent parents. This kid wouldnt be this way if his parents were really doing their job right.

  • Nigga, please.

  • @BizaroMustard100 So the answer to most of our problems is to create a cultural, social, and economic sphere that doesn't give a damn about what non-Blacks think or say; to evolve from a Race to a People. However, this would be derided as "Reverse-Racist". We can't afford to be afraid of being perceived as racist or Un-American. Our country is still segregated. We live in different neighborhoods and go to different schools, so why not have it work for us instead of against us?

  • @BizaroMustard100 Most Africans don't interact with Whites, aside from Zulu and Xhosa (and those two hate Whites the most), so they don't see Whites screwing them over. They still are being screwed over, due to exploitative capitalism, and the fact that a British or American man has the right to drill for African oil and mine African gold & diamonds.

To get back to Black Americans, many want to assimilate, which means they want public schools with libraries an updated books. We don't have that.

  • I've heard so many white kids say "the n word" many times around me and I haven't said it once in my life

    and I'm a black man.

  • Oh no that nigga didn't pop out a brush and start brushing his hair while his parents are talking to him... lol

  • Honestly, I like the way Nick thinks. If we all just...didn't care, I think we'd get along more.

  • Why can't black Americans (Africans see perfectly) see that the us and them mentality compounds racism, real or perceived. The main point I got from the black family is a strong paranoia of perceived racism, a lack of willingness to understand the white viewpoint, a lack of personal and black cultural responsibility of anti-social behaviour. Why are all white neighborhoods better to live in than black neighborhoods? Where is the blame on black ppl instead of whitey. Smart blacks see my point
