@pgmammo Keep at it. After you get it down the casting is easily one of the most fun parts(other than the increased catch rate). there are lots of good casting videos online. I like Lefty Kreh's though/ he doesn't teach you how to cast but why it works. Which i found far more useful. check those videos out and stick with it. After all its the most legal fun you can have.( well nearly) good luck and watch that backcast.

Last week, I saw this video. It inspired me to learn how to fly fish. Yesterday, I bought my first fly rod/reel. You should've seen me today, I had it wrapped in trees, power lines etc... I think I'm getting better, but I can't wait to catch that first trout on a fly. =)

Some of us grew up where, Superman, Roy Rogers, Captain America, Babe Ruth were our hero's.... now that I'm an adult... this guy is my hero.

Fly fishing is different - not saying it's better - just different, and dry fly is the ultimate. A spinner is under the water - as are some flies, so you don't see the fish 'take'. Anyway, enjoy your fishing whatever you do . Tight lines.

is that fly fishing rod is better in stream?
