Positive change begins at home. So when Dee Williams decided to change her life, thats where she started. In fact, she redefined what "home" meant, right down to what it was, and where it could go. A film by Mark Hoffman, presented by Nau.

Why would she do that, when she can live modestly in her 'own' space, that she OWNS? You're completely missing the entire point...."Simplifying" your life, shouldn't mean sponging off of someone else. I admire this woman's lifestyle & her philosphies. We're living in an age where we acquire MORE than too much 'stuff.' If you don't get that--than you're clearly one of those folks who places entirely too much emphasis on stuff they don't need.

Most families in my country would be more than happy to own a 2 bedroom home! (house or apartment, if it's house, the better!) One for the parents, one for the kids, one bathroom might be difficult but if u throw an extra toilet in a small closet, it's perfect! Yes, maybe 1000 sqft. is more than necessary but it's less than some people build...6 bedroom houses for a small family, such a waste of space and money. Kids move out, house stays empty. Ah well, good luck to you and you family! :D

-- It is much better to just buy a used travel trailer. Most have a bathroom with a flush toilet and a shower, and travel trailers are usually lighter than these "tiny houses on wheels." You can search here for "tiny house Dee Williams.." I just watched another video with Dee Williams called "tiny house on wheels." It seems she has a composting toilet. But she does not have a shower. And she has to depend on someone to use her back yard. Check out "solar cabin" with LaMar Alexander.

That is great! A PhD! Yeah, I'm sure you'll be fine. I know If you get into a good college to teach, I think after about 10 years or 15, you can retire with a good pension or be a dean of some kind. We need more good teachers out there....AND PAY the GOOD ones!!!!!!!!!! Then, they'll say around longer, oh,and get rid of the bad ones. Well good luck with everything!!!!!!

-- My plan is to complete my Ph.D. next year. My plan then is to get a good job, possibly a university teaching position. I have no plans now beyond that. I hope everything goes well in Costa Rica.

yeah, I never thought of that! I'm sure that is going on! LOL I think any time there is money behind any type of thinking or promoting of an idea, there will be corruption. You see it In the government, churches, business. Money or business is not bad, but I think people get greedy and want more and more! I 'm moving to costa rica to improve my Spanish, meet a nice lady who isn't spoiled, and set up a chiropractic clinic...and make videos!!! Oh yea! . Any cool plans for you in the future?

-- Good for you. You are moving to Costa Rica to live the simple life. See, you are going to do your part to help save the planet. The climate scientists could get money from oil companies to say that global warming is bullshit. But the scientist don't say that. Have fun in Costa Rica. I have seen pictures, and it is beautiful there.

Yes, there is global warming AND cooling. Just like the seasons, the earth goes through changes. "Truth or not,we need to take care of the earth!l "Climate" scientist say the warming is real, because they get government money to say that. There is big money in "green" products AND oil. BTW, Haven't owed a TV in 10 years. I'm a Camera Operator in LA and I am neither liberal nor conservative. Am a Christian, but I see both sides. ....Moving to Costa Rica to get away from all this crap!!!!!!! Ciao

-- You envy a woman who lives in a travel trailer with no bathroom? I seriously doubt that. I have never met a person who enjoys living without a bathroom. This woman explained in another video that she cleans a lady's house in order to park her little house in the woman's backyard. The woman still has to care for a large house, she still lives in the suburbs, and she doesn't have a bathroom except in the large house. She should rent a room in that lady's house.
