Computers and Society Class at NYU Students:
Here's the Bratzbroken commercial. It is an example of a commercial that has been broken and re-edited. This will give you a sense of how you could go about it.

  • If you listen it says 'DOLLS EACH SOLD SEPARATELY' and the dog is in the box next to the Bratz, that would be false advertising! Also their walk is fine, what's wrong with it? It's a Bratz doll for goodness sake, the walk won't be perfect or like a real human beings. Also, all barbie does is go to the mall or salon now, when she's not flirting with Ken! Barbie is based on a german sex doll so go trash her because Bratz are awesome and kids love them!

  • @BratzRForever Thanks for your comment! Why do you think they have dolls that can "walk" on their own and all they show them doing is walking their dogs, shopping and drinking coffee? What other things could they have shown the dolls doing while walking? It's interesting you contrast Barbie with Bratz. If this commercial were about Barbie, how do you think it would be different?

  • Bratz do not have breasts, They are teenagers and their bodies are very non sexual.

  • @reyn75 Hey, thanks for your comment!

What about the dolls tells you that they are teenagers? What about their bodies tells you they are non-sexual? Do you share this opinion with other people you know?

  • The dog has eye shadow on..

  • @themediashow Those are some pretty amazing videos (and free Bratz advertising), aren't they? "Bratz-seizures" - Yikes. That can't be a positive thing.

Thanks for commenting, how're you guys doing?

  • @TheLAMPnyc Uh, guys? Did you read alexbabs12345's profile? Some innnnteresting subversions going on over there you might want to engage with. WWDBD (What Would David Buckingham Do?) lol!

  • Yes, I am aware of all that. I was just answering ur question. Obviously it's to make a profit, if it weren't then everything would be free. There's nothing wrong with making loads of money as long as they're not doing anything bad or wrong, and besides, they teach kids valuable lessons in the process, weither they mean 2 or not

  • Did you know that these books & songs & dolls are made by a very big corporation that makes the decisions on which songs/books/dolls should be created in order to make the company a profit? These individuals you mention don't own the books or the songs, but the corporations do.

What do you think the corporation is more interested in, teaching kids good lessons or encouraging kids to buy their products so they can make profits?

  • The boox r designed 2 luk like they were written by the Bratz. The songs r written by many different people, like Matt Gerrard. The films r usually dun by Mike Young & Mucci Fasset, the live action movie was dun by a completely different set of people, Starrin & Stylin was 2. These things r bein made 2 promote the dolls & teach kids gud lessons. The song U've Got It has a theme of self-confidence & many of the older how-2 boox teach how 2 save money & get gr8 gifts or thro a gr8 party 4 less
