@Jmartin41687 nice job bu t I wanted to correct you on that sticking. I transcribed this in 1981 for Henry Okstel while I was at UNT and we slowed everything down to half speed for transcribing. The tom bass sticking was KLR all the way through, another Gadd trademark. That same pattern is used in Aja with Steely Dan. Where did you get the transcription from?

i did, but either way that was great. u played most of the whole solo w/out mistakes. the hardest parts u nailed. great sight reading. any books u could refer me to study. what school are u cats with? p.s. i play traps single pedal, that's all u need. respect.

@rach4187 Thanks! Musicians Institute is the school.... Some great books are Gary Hess's; Encyclopedia of Reading Rhythms... or John Rileys; Beyond Bop Drumming... I did use single pedal... no double hooked up at all. Just keepin time bouncin my left foot.

right on man it sounds pretty dam good for the most part... what are you doing at the end during the triplet stuff on the toms/bass? are you using a double pedal? it just looks like your doin paradiddle stuff with your hands but on the transcription its just singles. just wonderin!

Yes sir he did. He gave me a whole week to learn it! Good luck with it, its a toughie. Once you learn it u will prob catch my 2 minor mistakes hehe
