Over-consumption of meat is one of the leading factors for poor health in our society. Heart disease, obesity, cancer, etc. All are increased and worsened by eating meat. There is nothing about eating meat that is healthy that you can't get from eating plants, and that isn't in a better form.

Especially at the rate most Americans eat meat - at least one portion for every meal during the day. I'm not vegan but I only eat meat about once a month, typically when someone offers it to me free.

Thank you for furthering this propaganda and misinformation. You are completely incorrect! Most B12 is cycled within the human body. B12 deficiencies arise out of the bodies failure to recycle it, not a lack of eating meat.

Humans did NOT evolve "to eat meat." We evolved just like all the other great apes (Chimps, Orangutans, Gorillas) eating an overwhelmingly plant based diet (Gorillas are possibly vegan).

Less than 10% of our diet (or even 3%), evolutionarily speaking, was meat.

And I totally agree! Alot of ppl laugh and joke about this and dont take it seriously but the truth is we r killing individuals, not things, to enjoy tasty food and health benifits. Nature is not a justification bcoz just bcoz nature makes eating them beneficial or even neccessary and free from consequence doesnt mean its morally right.
