Yes, even if it wasn't a standing knockout, Tyson had had enough and further punishment could have killed him.

@BruceinFalkirk he didn't stand up straight and put his gloves up or get his mouth guard back in. The ref can't stop counting until Mike stands up on his own (he's tumbling toward the ref), so indeed it is a standing knockout.

Tyson did some really bad shit in his life. To a large extent he's a git.
But seeing him scrabbling on the floor trying to pick his mouthpiece up is one of the saddest sights in boxing. Felt genuinely sorry for him. So many hangers on fucking him over, selling him down the river, getting a free ride in his slipstream, doing his head in. And he's in there, shit punched out of him, not a true friend anywhere in the world. A sad image.
