@67bowman In my truck I run Hooker "Super Comp", long tube headers 1 and 3/4" tube headers w/ full 2.5 inch mandrel bent exhaust and Dynomax mufflers, a 3.73 rear with welded spider gears and large M/T drag radials. I run a "built" tubo 350 tranny, ported and bowl blended "Topline Performance" heads with 2.02 and 1.60 valves, 3 angle valve job with a 30 degree "Back cut", 1.6 valves on the intakes and 1.55 on exhaust. No gasket matching on the intake manifold, it's not needed.
@67bowman I'm just jousting ya. Actually I have a couple of friends with pretty quick fords, but it cost them a bunch to build them compared to the 350 in my 85 C-10 Silverado. One has a 347 "Cleavor" in a 66 half ton and the other guy runs a 68 half ton Ford truck with a pretty stout 351 Windsor with aluminum heads. Don't get too pissed, but I have beat both in the 1/4 mile. I run a 350 with Isky 280 Mega Cam, Holley 750 dbl pumper w/ old style RPM manifold w/ 2" spacer and more.
