i know this is episode 5 in Japanese, but since they left those other episodes out in the english version, its episode 3 now

I do have a question, though: is there an original Japanese version with subs?

there is a japanese version, yea, but no subs for them are availible, i tried to get fansub to do it, but they wont do it because its licensed

I don't think they copied it. They had a different plot and they drew them different. Also they probably would have made simba white and there would have been no scar.

its hard to say, its not a great argument saying that they didnt copy because of a diffrent plot, or another that i hear often that lion king has no humans in it. Disney isnt stupid, when you copy from something, you dont want to make a direct duplicate of it, then your simply an easy target for anyone to point out. That alone wouldnt change what i beleive about the kimba simba con

I agree that they probably took the lion idea from it but they did a good job of making it. I mean they changed it and also Simba left the pride lands and didn't want to be king and he knew Nala since he was a cub. I don't want to start a fight. I think they took the lion, dad dying, another lion wanting to take over and him making friends with different animals idea but atleast Walt Disney didn't copy it completely. I still think Walt Disney had great ideas. Also u put up a great argument.

Could it occur to the accusers that this is a common character design: the protagonist, the girl,the two cowardly characters. The Lion King merely did the same thing. The relation between Kimba and Simba could just be that the people who made Kimba found that in Swahili Simba means "lion", but they didn't find that it was a name they wanted to use, so they changed it to Kimba. All similarities are coincidental, and maybe this whole feud is just preposterously unnecessary.

@javernot actually I think the similarities between the lion king and this show are completely coincidental. I'm sure disney didn't intentionally mean use the same ideas as this show. besides, both Kimba the white lion and the lion king are great shows. we should just enjoy them, right?
