cane corso wern't breed to hunt boar they were acctually called butcher's dogs and as the name implies they were breed to be and all round help in rual itay whether it be flock protection help with the slaugther or personal protection of the famer but they r not breed to hunt they can be taught but it was there intended use !!!

how id you train your cane corso to hunt? i have a 2 month old female and looking foward to hunt with her, any tips?

CC is a grown mentally and body at the age of 2-3 years.Now it is important that your dog have social habits.To you, your family, a new space.Now is an important basic training. (name, obedience, sit, lie down...) The dog training wild boar' send you info on private messaging or email.

Very lucky dog to be able to do what he was bred for... however here in USA you aren't going to find one sound enough to hunt. I've done cane rescue for 20 years and hip dysplasia is rampant. The only breeders who "don't have it" are the ones who don't test...

@BoldogKennel Yes you're right, good comment. In Europe have breeding males and females in the control dysplasia.

They must have the stamp of veterinary.But the reality is sometimes different...

Now bad luck :My cane has a bad hip(14 days)

But my cane he was eight years old, with intensive training and hunting...

must feal good to know your best mate as always got ur back and will take on anything for you :) i once and 2 pitbull hunting dogs but the pound said they where to vicious :( never seen them attack anything but a boar in my life.....have fun hunting together :)

@dogo1ification actually boxers were known as butcher's dogs. and cane corso's were bred to both guard property and hunt wild boar. so he is actually using the breed for one of it's intended purposes.
