Could somebody tell me whats that part inside the pink wrapper, not the battery, but that square shaped thing that came out after the pack with the cds and stuff.
i got that peice as well with my hp and it got me thinking what the hell is this thing.

Hi, the square part in the wrapper is the dvd drive cover, the dvd drive can be removed by pressing a button below the laptop and this square thing cover the hole of the drive, I think that this is a option when you travel with the laptop and you don't need to use the dvd drive, you can remove it and put the cover to take off some weigh.

thnx i knew it would have to do something with the drive cuz it matched the whole part but i didnt know i could remove the drive i dnt think i wont try to remove it.

yeah... you must to press or slide a button in the back of the laptop, behind the dvd drive and pull the dvd drive out of the laptop's body, that's how I did it before.
