This was a traditional medicine healer from the Sahel region who made his way down to Port Harcourt. He was new to the area so communicated in Hausa,so a family friend translated for us. I communicated with him in French. My grandfather insisted that my father visit him to help control his blood pressure. He had also lived in Gao, Mali, just north of where I had lived in the Mopti region. We were both nostalgic for tea!
