As-Salam is one of the names of Al-Mighty Allah.
And it's the greeting of the paradise's people, Allah says [Their way of request therein will be Subhanaka Allahumma (Glory to You, O Allaha) and Salam (peace, safe from evil) will be their greetings therein (Paradise) and the close of their request will be: Al-Hamdu Lillahi Rabbil-Alamin (all the praises and thanks are to Allah, the Lord of Alamin (mankind, jinn and all that exists))] Yonos (10:10)
دَعْوَاهُمْ فِيهَا سُبْحَانَكَ اللَّهُمَّ وَتَحِيَّتُهُمْ فِيهَا سَلاَمٌ وَآخِرُ دَعْوَاهُمْ أَنِ الْحَمْدُ لِلّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ

Also, it's the greeting of angels to paradise's people [Enter you therein in salam (peace and security) this is a Day of eternal life.] Qaf (50:34)
ادْخُلُوهَا بِسَلَامٍ ذَلِكَ يَوْمُ الْخُلُودِ

So, shall we spread it for sake of Allah? And for seeking of Allah's love and His messenger?
