The part about the facedown deck was actually supposed to happen. The creators of th game said that when you are entering the mansion, its like opening a random door with something behind it. Its trying to put back the horror aspect back into the game like in the original you don't know whats behind that door, it can be a briefcase with a rocket launcher or it could be nemesis trying to kill you. Who knows? The point is its so people don't just stock up and waste turns b4 going in the mansion.

Good review, i liked the way he shows the cards but, i didn't like the ending coments...Look, the game is new, you can't expect it to have like ten thousand cards, also like in the videogame frabchise, you don't know what you're going to fight in the next room, it's like that to put some suspense of the franchise, and i don't like that you said that i like to have a quick play, no i don't, i just wanna have fun no matter what time it takes :P So, you can have fun and those bad things are fake :P

@Angeal1889 from your inventory

Well there are more games out now that makes it much more fun. The set up is alittle than less desirable, but the over all game is a good game, the mansion is random.... and thats good, in a horror movie/game you dont know what is going to happen... duh.
One more thing its 30$ for 4 players, and there are a few upgrades to it now. if each friend buys one different game then you only paid 30$ for 4 games to play :D

Excellent review and explanation of the game! I picked this up last night and played for a few hours with a buddy and we were unsure if we were playing correctly, as this was our first deck building game.
Thanks for the great video, I look forward to watching more.

Ok thank u. But i still am confused, what about cards like "quirk of fate or fierce battle" that allows to gain cards, but from where? the deck or the resource pile?

@Angeal1889 If I understand correctly, you start with a deck of 10 cards and draw 5 each turn. Anything you buy goes to the discard pile and you can't use that turn and you discard your hand at the end of each turn. But, when your deck runs out of cards, you shuffle the discard pile and it becomes your new deck. So you start with 10 cards, that'll reshuffle in 2 turns. After those turns, you'll have a deck that's a little larger depending on what you bought and success in the mansion

Can you only play in one theme or are there other themes such as racoon city or a diff country like in #5 or take place in a airport? just woundering!

I don't understand when u say discard pile does that mean we cannot use them anymore

the game lacks items like flash light allowing you to see the next 5 enemy cards but then you need battery cards that would have to be recharged or found .....

I grabbed the second and third sets together for $30 at this horror convention in Chicago, definitely a great deal and a lot of fun for an RE fan.
