It has been presented the new Cargohopper solar truck: the Cargohopper II. It is equipped with the latest technological and sustainable features, the towing vehicle (a 4WD) is the newest model of Alke, it is the largest solar van in Europe and it is powered by solar energy. Alkè was also the supplier of Cargohopper I.
Now many more shops in the Utrecht city can be supplied with electric Cargohopper, thanks to the Alkè XT.
This delivery van can carry 2.5 tonnes. These type of electric vehicles are future vehicles with high performance and without polluting.
During the presentation of this futuristic electric van was also known that Amsterdam will follow the example of Utrecht. Utrecht has been the model for cities that want to reduce the emissions using solar vehicles. In some countries there are similar projects of urban distribution systems that want to use solar trucks for a zero emission transport and maybe in the future for people transport ther will be also solar cars.
