Really nice video and really nice words. Hope we'll catch up on skype some day and have a great chat on language learning (in Chinese too! :-)). There might have been some misunderstanding in the past, but the new key word now is cooperation. The truth is that we can all learn a lot from each other. Many thanks from Italy :-D Luca

hi laoshu505000,
I really enjoy your videos, but I have some serious problem with my English
my mother language is Polish, I've been learning English for 2 years, got basics like the most used verbs and stuff, but I stuck on some level and I dunno where to go
I can understand like 90% of text and whole sense but my knowledge is breaking up on small things and that kinda makes my English not good
needless to say I'm regulary watch movies in original (sometimes with subs) and listen to the music

@laoshu505000 The words bilingual and trilingual do exist. For more than 3 languages I don't think there is another term to use but multilingual or polyglot, so I think it would be 4 languages or more to be called a polyglot. I have even read some sources that use the word "hyperpolyglot" refering to a person who speaks 6 languages or more.
Greetings

Thank you very much for sharing your resources and for inspiring people to tackle new languages!

Well spoken sweetheart!
As cliche as it may sound, learning another language is like opening the doors to another world (one not so different from ours) ..and it creates a better understanding between two cultures which is a beautiful thing! <3
And if you're one of those snobby polyglots, get over yourself..learn languages to relate to people of different cultures, not to bring other people down or to show off.

can you give a link on the channels these polyglots? i'm watching only your and Mr. Kaufman's channels.

@CrazyLassi By definition it's 4 (i'm pretty sure). There's bilingual, trilingual, then polyglot. I'm (pretty) sure there's not a quad-lingual or anything like that.
How many languages do you have to learn to be called a Polyglot? I think 3,4 is kind of popular.

@CrazyLassi That's a good question. It seems to be different for everyone. I think it may be at least 5 languages.
