Siege of Gaza - Silence is betrayal

NO RIGHTS, LITTLE MERCY. WHERE DOES IT END? A question of conscious to our American friends.

Israel has imposed a complete lock-down of Gaza, this most densely populated place on earth. That means not only sealed borders and no access to food or medicine, but gas and electricity are also shut down. It is more than a miserable existence: it is a slow death.

You may feel a little sympathy, but really don't care. Imagine if our parents took this position during the Civil Rights movement, Blacks would still be slaves or segregated today! The KKK would have dominated not only State governments, but every branch of Federal Government. How hard is it for me and you to take few moments now and contact the White House, Senate and Congress demanding immediate intervention. Here are the links; it will only take moments of your time.

How hard is it for you and me to demand immediate freeze on the $30 Billion offered as a disgraceful giveaway by Bush to Israel during his visit last week. During a time when recession is looming over our heads, and everyone is crying "stop spending, we must do something" This money given to Israel -- one the wealthiest countries in the world, one that gives free healthcare to each of its citizens, something that 47 million Americans are denied today.

It just took me only 45 minutes to write emails to the President and my Senators and Representative in Washington. Take the time!! Let them know your views! It is important that they know their constituency do NOT support such spending of our tax dollars supporting such a government that would oppress people, especially in this manner.

Your silence is approval of their support of the Israeli government and actions. SPEAK UP!

I believe that all life is sacred.

That every human being has an equal right to exist.

That there should be no double standards applied to others, no hypocrisy.

When all are equal and all is fair, there can be no complaint, no jealousy, no deception, for there is always hope and a pathway to obtain what you desire.

Currently the greed and selfishness is destroying the world as the consuming of the resources which sustain life in the environment.
