Weed isn't a drug cos' its a plant? Cool.

Well sorry to burst your bubble but Cocaine isn't a man-made drug, like you said. In fact its from the same family as plant as caffeine. Thusly implying Cocaine isn't a drug - fuck yeah.

And I suppose when you say man-made narcotics your thinking about Heroine, Acid, Opium, Peyote - right?

Well they too are all plants too.

  • in another interview, Robert Plant called him Jethro "Dull"

  • @TheoGallagher yep and all those drugs should be legal too, if you dont like drugs don't do them, but not liking something doesnt give you the right to take away a humans right to do what he/she wants with his/her own body.

  • the only reason it wasn't illegal is because it wasn't readily available until the 60's were of course it was being regularily used by young people and of course the c.i.a. were testing it in the 50's for mind control

  • @dictator54 Actually LSD, although first synthesized by Albert Hoffman in 1938, wasn't made illegal until around 30 years later. Look up History_of_lysergic_acid_diethylamide on Wikipedia for more info.

  • acid has always been illegal i had a freind that was busted manufacturing L.S.D was given 10 yrs for it, thats like sayin speed isn't illegal they are both class 2 drugs and always been illegal the only drug that wasn't illegal until a few yrs ago was valium it is now

  • @dictator54 If I recall, up until the mid 60's LSD technically wasn't illegal because the drug laws at the time referred to drugs derived from naturally occurring sources (heroin, marijuana, peyote, etc). LSD was a purely chemical product and, therefore, not covered under existing laws.

  • Maybe this is why Tull still tours so much.

  • the title of this video should be

ian anderson rambles and uses the words led and zeppelin but does not actually make any sense

  • @TheoGallagher Holy cow, u r confused! Coca & opium aren't man-refined drugs, just man-extracted from plants. Cocaine & heroin go thru much pharm-like processing, are very refined & so received by the body as a foreign substance, burdening the liver, not to mention the one who lives.

  • @steve9563 The coca plant from which cocaine is made (one of several species of Erythroxylaceae) is not the same as the cocoa tree (Theobroma cacao) from which chocolate and cocoa are made

  • well said, ian.
