Dr. David Kirk, NVIDIA Fellow and former chief scientist takes a second to chat with us about his new book, co-authored with Dr. Wen-mei Hwu, Programming Massively Parallel Processors: A Hands-on Approach. Watch the video to find out what goes into writing a textbook aimed at teaching students and professionals the basic concepts of parallel programming and GPU architectures. http://blogs.nvidia.com/ntersect/2010/02/david-kirk-interview-programming-mas...
Within the next decade, GPU's will change drastically, as new technologies will eliminate the need for polygon and texture processing. At the same time, the need fo parallel processing will decrease as massive amounts of transistors are put on chips, with analogue gates too.

thought text book costs money and is bulky.... I love the idea that I don't have to look at a flashy screen all day just to read text, because that is so bad for the eyes hehe
