This is the latest guitar I have built.
It has Ziricote back and sides with an Alpine spruce top, Cuban cedar neck, Ebony bridge, fingerboard and bindings and Mother Of Pearl nut, saddle and 20th fret.

  • after seeing this i may go and delete the vid of me playing :-)) we really have to catch up soon mate, shout you next time i'm back in the valley

  • @TheArtfulMark That would be excellent. I very rarely visit Neptune these days, so I guess Wales it is then

  • Lovely sound. I bet there aren't many guitar makers that can play their own guitars as well. It must give you enormous satisfaction. Inspiring!

  • @Batboxgriffin Cheers! It is a lot of fun. Very pleased with how the sound of this guitar turned out.

The next one's going to be made out of quilted maple - a flamessical / classinco type.

  • Big deep sound in the bass, clear trebles, similar to Macassar Ebony and Brazilian rosewood, stunning to look at and one of my favorite woods. The grain is simply dramatic and some of the most beautiful instruments are made with Ziricote. The grain is always wild and it seems that nature hired a world class artist to design its magnificent grain. It is simply stunning to look at and produces top of the line guitars.

  • Blown away which is no mean feat for someone of my avoirdupois. Magnificent new guitar. How does one buy/ beg/ steal one? Also Brilliant playing . Bach as it should be played

  • @TheArtfulMark Pistols at dawn, Mark.... - the Gentleman's solution, - but if you win, its never too late to re-embrace the Spanish guitar... I'm having a resurgent thrash at it, and should be ready to post in another 30 years or so...

  • @mikesilurilease I'm on the waiting list Mike ;-))) wish i had stuck with those lessons many years ago

  • Mate... the new guitar sounds beautiful... by the way i changed my youtube account to this one!! Mark H
