The boat folds to 10cm. flat. You can transport the boat at the roof of every car. Folding out takes 10 minutes.
No struggle but only fun.

  • AFAIK the Porta Boat is not unique. The principle was "borrowed" from Banana Boat.

  • Big mistake. Firste there was the Porta-Bote which looked as the Bananaboat looks now. Porta-Bote has

restyled the boat in the beginning of 1990 which gave the boat more stability and performance.

  • There has been a lot of discussion about paints that will stick to the Porta Bote. This one has an interesting paint scheme -- definitely not factory. Does anyone have any idea what paints and prep they used?

  • why did you delete your video on the ocean ??

  • hellow!!! do you know how fast can you reach on a 12'6" long with a 2000 year model Johnson 3.3 Horsepower outboard motor?? thank you!

  • Video deleted. It was just out-of-place on my channel. Porta-Botes are great. Get one and be happy. They are everything they are claimed to be.

  • can anyone tell me what size bote and motor size this is?

  • I can help settle this issue. I just uploaded my Porta Bote video and it should appear in a day or so. You will see my 12 footer being used in salt water. I won't disclose how far out I was so I don't encourage anyone to do anything beyond their skill level, but you won't see land in my video and it was a clear day. Think about safety no matter what kind of boat you have!

  • In fact if you check the vid titled "A boat that folds to 4 inches flat? from Portabot you'll see that that even if mostly filled with water it will still float.

  • Why wouldn't it be good in the sea? It seems to me that it would be at least as good as a normal row boat.
