The start of the Winston Motorsports 300 at South Boston Speedway.

Shane Hall (#85) starts on the pole but gets edged out by Randy LaJoie (#74) for the lead on the first lap.
Hall would come back and take the lead for certain on the second lap.

Dennis Setzer (#43) is storming towards the lead.

LaJoie bumps Hall out of the lead and Setzer passes by both of them for the top spot.

Tim Fedewa (#33) gets a black flag for smoking. He would have an oil leak that costed him many laps.

  • Patty Moise is horrible at this

  • @TheCougarFrom1983 - i have to agree, she also did the Myrtle Beach race from 1997 - guess they needed a race car driver in the booth as a filler, since thats the ways its been for years lol (a lead anouncer, a driver and a crew chief OR a lead announcer and two drivers)

  • now why would you say this was a bad race?

i saw two- and three-wide racing all night long with each groove as even as the rest.

  • I race here every Saturday night..Runnin three wide is not easy at all with the way them boys sling their car to the outside all the time.
