It is a Neumann U87, the mic that the Behringer is designed to look like but not even come close to sounding like.

I have used a Shure PZM in front of the vocalist on the wall... Does have a pretty good live feel too it, But I only used it to mix in with the main mic. Is important to note that if the room sounds bad no matter where you place the mic it will capture a bad sound!

@johnfrison93 thats the same thing i was thinking

I would suggest singing at least one key higher. But thanks for the vid.. I am in the market for a mic :)

A very good video. I would suggest only 1 more position. The Chest resonance one. The U87 is some small distance below the jaw, so that the balance is more towards the lower frequencies and any sibilance suppressed (not that this singer has a problem here) The contrast between this and the higher Nasal resonance locations can be instructive.

What was the deal with no pop filter?
-
y dont u use pop filters?
There are a few reasons. First, it demonstrates why we need pop filters in some cases and why we don't in others (like when the mic is moved further away). Second, many engineers avoid using pop filters because they believe that it limits high frequencies from reaching the microphone. Finally, we didn't have a clean good looking pop filter available at the time, so we didn't bother using one.
