  • Beautiful Restoration! I'm a private pilot and a big fan of classic commercial aviation - I was 7 years old when this aircraft first went into service I'm looking forward to to the day when I can board this restored beauty for a flight!

  • @xoio I feel awful but that was my first thought too.

  • Christ 1:56+ = 'she' looks like a bloke in drag! LOL

  • Well, I'm showing my age, but when I was a young man, it was common to catch a DC-7 (or DC-6) on many airline flights. The DC-7 was probably the most comfortable propeller plane ever made. Once you were up and cruising, it was as comfortable as sitting on your living room couch. They were very smooth and not all that noisy as you might expect; certainly quieter than a jet. As far as I'm concerned, they never needed to invent jets. The DC-7 would do everything you needed to do! Great birds!

  • Beautiful aircraft. The first time I flew was on an Eastern Airlines DC 9 in the mid 1970s as a very young child. I remember the stuardess who took me up to the cockpit and gave me a pair of wings that sadly have gotten lost over the years. I'd love to fly on this beautiful aircraft someday.

  • @walkandlookup OMG. THE CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON

  • My first ride was a dc-7 from Los Angeles to Portland, OR with a stopover in Reno. It seemed very large. I remember that we took the prop plane because tickets for a jet flight were more expensive.

  • 4:35 fly in plane

  • 3:09 this cannot be a real woman

  • I spent many an hour working maintenance on this type A/C when I was in the USAF. Thanks ever so much for the video.
