Stereoscopic Reef Exploration
Thanks for all the comments on this video - including the ones that tell me I messed up on the stereo effect. You're probably right but this 6 year old demo is just not worth correcting on Youtube. Please accept my apologies here.
Besides, the stereo effect is supposed to be viewed in the ICT Flatworld setup with special glasses- Not youtube! Check out this site for more info:
http://ict.usc.edu/projects/flatworld/

This video is showing both left and right views next to each other. Special glasses are used in the Flatworld demonstration to superimpose the images to form one 3D view.

  • The ability to actually 'cross' your eyes so that you can even view the effects in this video is a genetic trait. I do notr possess that ability, so this video does not work for me. You should have made it anaglyphic.

  • Thanks for the comment. I posted this project as a portfolio piece. You are correct in that correct equipment to view in stereo is still needed.

  • i got the 3D effect to show up but i had to fight my eyes to stay still and not jitter... pretty cool when it works though

  • thanks for your comment. It is a bit jittery in the beginning, i should have removed that part.

  • i can cross my eyes but i dont see 3d. HELP?

  • i love this :D

  • I wonder how retarded it looks to see someone cross-eyed looking at a youtube video lol.

    amazing vid!

  • done practically all the other ones but somehow found this one really difficult :S

  • you should add yt3d:enable=true to the taggs

  • @Titan752 It most certainly is not a genetic trait....

  • we explored so much...

  • @mr123tile Nooo! It is PARALELL EYE video, and when you watch in crosseye, the nearer objects seems farer and also there is a conflict of stereoscopic 3D information and perspective.
