This is a subscriber request on how to create a template. Sending a template along with your order and measurements for a custom lace wig can help to ensure you'll get a great fitting unit. Hope this helps..

  • So freaking helpful!! Thank you!!!

  • Hi! Would this work to make a full head wig when you put it in the Styrofoam head?

  • Hi Lovekisses99, thank you for the tutorial :-) this video is awesome

  • Hey Lovekisses Great video thank you for this. Quick q, if using a Styrofoam head for at home wig making, would it be advisable to use stuffing under the mold, so its fits the Styrofoam head snugly?

  • Thanks for sharing this! I once saw saran wrap being used to make a template.

Question - What are good places to ship the templates to that make good wigs and hopefuly at affordable prices?

  • I too never thought to use a plastic shower cap, but I believe it to be much less of a hassle to use than platic wrap. :D

  • I have always used saran wrap for my templates.Shower caps never occured to me but i think that its extremely clever. I will try that next time.I prefer scotch tape to packing tape, but this is personal preference. Also, make sure the wig cap is pushed back at least a fingers width so you can see your hairline. Also good point about wearing your hair underneath as you wear it under the wig, as it affects the measurements alot.

  • Why, why, why have I been trying to do this using saran wrap? I'm feeling really silly right now. LOL! Thanks so much for the tutorial. My next template will be a LOT easier and probably fit better!

    XOXO! Thanks!

  • OMG!!!!! I would have never thought to use a shower cap...Definitely much easier than using plastic wrap.
