Obscure 1975 Mike Nichols comedy starring Warren Beatty (Nicky), Jack Nicholson (Oscar) and introducing Stockard Channing (Frederica Quintessa Biggard, Freddie for short) in her first big screen role.
A hilarious, much underrated movie that takes place in the 1920's, when the MANN act prevented men and women from crossing state borders for "immoral purposes". The still married Nicky and mistress Freddie have planned that she will marry Oscar (in name only) so that they can legally move to another state while waiting for Nicky's divorce to be finalized. Things do not go as planned and this makes for some excellent slapstick comedy. Beatty and Nicholson are insanely funny as the bumbling partners in crime. The 20's music is fantastic throughout the movie, as can be experienced in this clip collage.
Stockard Channing also sings the opening song.
Loved this movie ! Thank you !

This is a gem of a little comedy. Nicholson and Beatty are hilarious. At times almost Laurel & Hardy like. Never understood why it never got noticed. Thanks for putting it on Youtube.
