Crossing Paths - Dave Weckl Band

I took the exam in march (09) and got 27/28 on this piece. Luckily i played it better in the exam than in this video :P Distinction overall.

Crossing Paths from the Trinity Guildhall grade 8 book for drum kit. Its a bit rough, but its alright.

i have my exam tomorrow... you play this way better than i do!

The rhythms on the second time bar of A mess me up... and, i sure hope they provide a cowbell/cowbell stand.

Thanks. Yeah it took me a while to get that 3 against 4 bit. They will def not supply a cowbell or stand, uve got to take your own or just play it on the ride cymbal or sumthing.

It's funny because as first i thought you where getting all wrong but then i went back to look at the orininal music anf of course you weren't getting it wrong at all. Very nice and tight job.

The only reason why i thought you were getting it wrong is because i have a very pwoerful ear so normally play by ear and what you played didnt match up to what Weckl himself plays but obviously you dont have to play that!! hahaha!!

haha Thanks. Yeah, the score for the exam is totally different to what he actually plays, prob because it would of taken AGES to write it all out and Weckl is god so nobody would be able to play it! ive been thinking of redoing this tbh, its reasonable but could be much better. It seems to be with this song that when i press record i always play it crap haha.
