thought (without knowing too much) that dual recs were the absolute premium punk / hardcore amps. what is it the orange you like so much? just asking cause i haven't tried oranges yet, and i'm looking to buy a dual rec for touring / studio next year. :) thank you

@millieguitarcrasher They have such an organic, crunchy dirty tone. With rectifiers, I find they have way too much gain and sound a little muddy in comparison. Not saying they're bad. Basically depends on your tone preference. If you're looking for a crunchy tone that is still clear, Orange has it. If you're looking for tons of gain and bottom end, a rectifier could be the way to go.

have you ever tried gibson sg special?

@MusicSavesYourLife41 Yeah, I've tried an SG special. Decent guitar for being a low end Gibson. I'd rather buy a used Standard than buy a new special though. Same pickups, but the Standards are obviously nicer.
