Its not that they grow so large - its that they swallow, or make it impossible for anyone else to get into their industries.

EG. Selling backlinks means that less people pay Google for PPC, so they lie and tell people that paid links are bad.

Why shouldn't authority sites be able to sell links so that we can get to the top of Google without paying £10000+ a month for PPC??

The internet is used by lots of people, they changed the internet with content - Not Google

  • poor microphone/audio.

but content is great as always by shoemoney

  • I'm chucking google adsense program & looking for some other alternatives.

Shoemoney helped me figure it out.

  • Also, I certainly have seen no harm to microsoft due to a government stoppage, not that I was aware of that anyway. But when companies get as big as that. Not much can touch them. And as long as they're just providing a service and doing what they're good at, who cares anyway.

  • i download your videos with savetube :P

  • The government break up Google? Who can compete with Google search? No one... none of the other major search engines hold a candle to Google.

I worked both at Google and Microsoft and Google just an extremely progressive company.

Why do people get upset when companies like Microsoft and Google grow so large? I mean look at how they have both changed computers and the Internet. I think they have done more good than harm.

  • Microsoft got nailed because it was forcing manufacturers to install Windows.

I never understood the US government's stance that Microsoft erred in bundling IE with Windows. Maybe it's because I'm South African?

The worst thing that Microsoft did was when it forced corporates to pay twice for a license to run Windows on a PC.

Back in the mid 90s I was a big fan of Microsoft. Now I am a big fan of Linux and open source software.

  • bring back the chicks
