So much scarier than the remake.
70s horror movies are the best. :)

In my opinion, like Psycho, what gives the TCM an "edge" over a lot of other horror films is the fact that it's inspired by a REAL person-Ed Gein. In my opinion, you watch the TCM from start to finish and you'll think, "Even in the MODERN era, there ARE people who behave like this and/or who live this kind of lifestyle."

@metalixmillenium15 Well it IS still "only a movie"! ;) And I really think you'd be doing yourself a disservice by not seeing it - becuase it is literally a *masterpiece* in its own right. It certainly doesn't deserve to be placed anywhere near the same load of absolute shit of the same "genre" that came either before or after it. :)

Jeepers! Halloween scared the pants off of me! Looks like this is one movie I won't be able to handle.

@metalixmillenium15 Halloween is scarier, but nothing will play on your psychie worse then this movie. It's just the way it's filmed. I thought Halloween is scarier. This movie? However is pure and brutal on your mind and IN YOUR FACE! Its main quality is it looks, and feels real when you watch it.

I couldn't even make it through the trailer... Is it really as scary as Halloween?

Very scary movie haven't seen it in ages, but wanna soon, the grandaddy of the slasher film. cant believe Im the first person to comment on this trailer.
@metalixmillenium15 Great as it is, there's NO WAY "Halloween" is scarier than this! The plot and action in this film is like something out of your nightmares, if only because of the realization that people like this actually exist - *somewhere* (no matter how small their numbers). Despite its low budget & "reputation", its probably the most intelligent and cinematic "shlock" movie you'll ever see. The characters & acting are believable and the ominousness & terror conveyed is fantastic.

"It's only a movie"... Last House on the Left, right? I agree. 70s and 80's horror was really good... and actually scary. The stuff before was fake, and the stuff now is unoriginal.
