DANCES WITH WOLVES!

What's the name of the piece of music used in the montage?

Wow. My story is so like yours. When I was a very little girl, my family brought home Gone With the Wind on VHS. I was brought up on classic movies, and to me, this montage was the most special thing about our copy of the film. The powerful music combined scenes from my family's favorite movies made it magical. I'd never seen anything like it. I've been looking for it for so long. So glad I found it.

@BornYesterday0126 I agree. It is rather misleading. There are so many great MGM films - other than Goldfinger - which is United Artists!

MGM made me what I am TODAY.

I like it here with you.

No place like home.

So glad to know I wasn't the only one who kept looking for some other digital copy of this montage ever since I saw it on my GWTW vhs tape! Psst. I would even just watch it without watching the actual movie. I even scanned youtube off and on thru the years to find it. Thank you so much for finding a way to put this online! I loved it. Made me see just how important editing is, when you're making a film. Now, could someone tell me the name of the piece that's playing? I've heard it often...
I don't understand why it's an MGM montage but there are Warner Brother movie clips in this like Casablanca, White Heat, Yanke Doodle Dandy?
Still a great montage!

@BornYesterday0126
For a long time, MGM owned a lot of the classic Warner Brothers films. It was only a couple of years after this montage was made that the tables turned.

My God I have been looking for this for years! My Grandmother and I watched Gone With The Wind together all the time and I loved this montage! When she died the cassette tapes got thrown out and I've never been able to find it! Thank you so much!

You're welcome! I too went crazy trying to find this montage on the internet a couple of years ago. When I got a DVD recorder, one of the first things I did was post this montage!
I'm glad you enjoyed this little piece of nostalgia.
